Special Honors Programs
Special honors, prestigious scholarships and fellowships are competitive awards that provide support for a wide range of enriching experiences, including graduate and professional study, public service, research and study abroad. They are intended to support and enhance the graduate and undergraduate education of outstanding Macaulay students.
Macaulay Honors College itself provides exclusive access to several unique scholars programs available to its students to enhance and grow each person as a potential leader. They include:
The Horace W. Goldsmith Scholars program, which looks for students with a focused sense of their academic program and an innovative approach to their discipline. The specific field of study is less important than the passion, creativity, and initiative the student has demonstrated—and the faith placed in the student by his/her professors and academic advisors.
The William R. Kenan Scholars program was founded to enhance honors education at CUNY by sponsoring a group of outstanding Macaulay students who have demonstrated an early commitment to service and civic engagement.
The Lisa Goldberg/Revson Scholars program provides support through Macaulay’s Opportunities Fund to enable students to explore interests and pursue passions that might otherwise be precluded by cost.
Mike Lamb, the Thomas R. Slaughter Scholar-in-Residence and Associate Director of Immersive and Personalized Education at Macaulay, is available to assist students with all aspects of the application process for Goldsmith, Kenan and Goldberg/Revson programs. Contact Dr. Lamb by email to set up an appointment or to learn more, email@example.com.
The newest addition to Macaulay’s special honors is the Meyer Scholars award. Students receive this distinction based on stellar academic achievement and their desire to explore the world through study abroad.
These scholarships and fellowships can have a dramatic, life-changing impact on the lives of the students who receive them. Please explore the CUNY Prestigious Scholarships page to learn more about additional opportunities.
